One million and still less......
Tonite I went to the Opening Ceremony of the Soccer games here at Penn State…
For those who are still clueless…. Penn State University has the second largest football stadium in the entire of the US. 110,000 – seating capacity…. Joe Paterno, octogenarian has been the football coach of the Penn State team ‘Nittany Lions’ - since 1950 – being the Best football coach in the US and has lead the Nittany lions to many victories… Soccer is a religion here and has a great, ‘zany’ following…
It was around 7:30 p.m. when me ‘n Sourabh walked down to the stadium… We entered through a small entrance…. And Behold !!! – It was paradise on earth…. We could see people almost till infinity… It was juz limitless… There was beautiful music going on and it was juz such a gr8 atmosphere… There were soo many freebies being distributed – Coffee mugs, T-shirts, Posters… etc etc… There were many documentaries…
There were some contests too.. And then the man – Joe Pa as he is called entered and he received a standing ovation… He spoke like a fiery patriot and the crowd went berserk ….. His passion was in his words... And u juz can't beleive that he is more than 80 years old... And then there were fireworks…. Real poor show I must say… Even our galli Diwali fireworks are better… We gotto give these guys a few tips in this regard…
But, all in all, a great feeling….
