A Tribute to the Crocodile Hunter

Steve Irwin, "The Crocodile Hunter" died today. For the rest of the world, it might not even matter. For me, my favorite entertainer is no more. His televised death-defying crocodile stunts and his “Crikey!” in a ripe Australian accent became an international catchword. He was a passionate environmentalist. And was a heaven of knowledge. He just about knew everything about wild life. He was the only reason I watched Animal Planet. Irwin's boundless energy and daredevil antics around deadly beasts made him a household name. His fearless exploits in the Amazonian basins were a treat to watch.

Australia might have lost its favorite child, for me its huge loss too. I will greatly miss him.
