Blacked out!!

My wish comes true. No No No!!! I didn’t see pathetic Kisna. Spare me!!! Finally Black saw the light of the day in Penn State. Might be too late for everyone back in India. A film of such sensitivity, perfection and elegance has been finally created in Indian Cinema.

Amitabh Bachchan is undoubtedly 'the best'. He rocks. He is my guru. Wish AR gave the music for the movie. Can’t expect everything I guess. J AB has delivered the character of eccentricity well – in his finest touch. Unparalleled and flamboyant excellence. Black is one of the most heart-rendering emotional saga of the life of a deaf and blind woman. And also the little Ayesha Kapoor has done a gem of a performance.

To tell the truth, I didn’t get teary-eyed or feel a lump in my throat or a chill through my spines through the film. But, we just couldn’t resist applauding at the end of the movie. Those who were fooling around in the first half of the movie, were glued to their seats till the end. In a capsule, Black is one of the best films I have ever seen with my hero AB in the lead. Hands down. If SRK fell to AB’s feet after watching this movie, I wouldn’t mind following suit. And Master-creator SLB needs a real good pat on his back. His work has frozen all superlatives.

Although it leaves some questions unanswered.

--> Why do directors like Chopras and the Johars ever get so popular due to those sad rigmarole pop-corn movies??
--> Why don’t we see films of such sensitivity ‘n passion in Indian cinema?
--> Have all the other Indian directors lost their creativity that they have to get ‘inspired’ by Hollywood movies?
--> And the million dollar question everyone's asking - Will Black get the Oscar??? – methinks by sending it to the Oscar ‘n if it gets rejected, it will be a disgrace to the whole Oscar fraternity. – more so its not a film to categorize or classify.
