The Black Chapter Day…
As Parag rightly quoted in his mail today - The Crown of E&TC department – fondly ‘remembered’ as the Telerana is no more… The magnificent piece which adorned the E&TC building has been quietly bundled up in the club… U don’t know how miserable the ten of us are feeling now…
The Telerana is gone…Wooosh in a jiffy… Months of hardwork and toil – the sweltering heat – the back-breaking workouts – the brain storming sessions – the painstaking efforts – the quibbles – the fights – the meets – the ups and downs - the vim, the vigor, the enthusiasm we put in – the enormous amount of money - the race against time – the never-ending source of energy of each of the hammers. And finally the sense of pride, joy and achievement when the Telerana was actually put up. The beaming faces – the many smiles it lit up….
‘It was the perfect blend of skill, technical knowledge, co-operation, man-power, intelligence and more importantly common sense. All these formed the perfect ingredient for its resounding success.’ – Farewell Letter to the COEP Amateur Radio Club, July, 2004.
All is gone… And sadly so, many of us far far away from the India, can do nothing at all. Looks like we were fighting for a lost cause.
9th October, 2004 will surely be the Black chapter Day in all our BEhammers lives….

Hey Prak...
It was a real bad day...not only for you 10 people but also to many of us who were not on stage but loved the Telerana sitting in the audience...If I can lose my sleep and senses that day...I can very well see your condition...
But at the end, all I can ask is...Is there anything that I can do? I know its gonna be a difficult question to answer, but still, you know I will give my best to it if you say!
True,its a black chapter day...but the chapter called "telerana" does not end, never will!
